Club Sandwich Sliders

I thought of this recipe when I was at work one day and wanted something easy to make once I got home. I have always loved a good sandwich and these Club Sandwich Sliders were nothing short of amazing to me. They are perfect for a quick and easy weeknight meal but also work as a great appetizer too. So, let’s get down to the details.

Like all good things, the first step to making these sliders starts with cooking up some crispy bacon. I love anything that is quick and efficient, so I like to cook my bacon in the oven. Cooking bacon in the oven ensures the perfect crisp every time, and you don’t have to worry about splattering grease or flipping it. So, start by preheating the oven to 400 degrees and line a baking tray with parchment paper. Place the bacon down without overlapping it and cook for 12-16 minutes or until it is fully cooked and crispy. Then transfer the bacon to a paper towel lined plate to cool, and lightly pat the bacon with a paper towel to soak up any excess grease. This will ensure that the bacon stays nice and crispy while you work on the next steps.

Next, place the dinner rolls on a cutting board and cut through the middle to create an equal top and bottom half. I find this step easier if you break the sheet of rolls in half, that way you are only cutting through two rows at a time. If you are using bread that is designed for sliders, then it should already be divided, and you can skip this step. Now, add a generous amount of mayonnaise to the inner part of the top and bottom sections of the rolls and spread it evenly with a butter knife. Place the rolls face up on a parchment-lined baking sheet and toast them in the oven at 400 degrees for 4-5 minutes or until they turn slightly golden-brown and crispy.

Allow the rolls to slightly cool and spread another generous amount of mayonnaise on the top and bottom sections of the rolls. Now to construct the sliders you will start by placing the turkey, ham, cheese, lettuce, tomato and bacon on the bottom section of the rolls in that order. Last, simply place the top section of the rolls on top of everything to form a sandwich and cut the rolls into individual sliders. I like to serve these Club Sandwich Sliders with a side of French fries or chips. Enjoy!
