Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make this in the crock pot?

Yes! Cook the ground beef and Italian sausage and throw all the ingredients in the slow cooker. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4. Add the pasta and cook on high for 45 minutes until al dente.

Can I use other types of pasta?

Yes! While lasagna noodles give the soup its signature feel, you can use any kind of pasta you have on hand, such as bowties, rotini, or even penne.

How do I store leftovers?

Store lasagna soup in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat in a pot over medium heat, adding extra cup of broth if necessary to thin it out.

Can I freeze lasagna soup?

Yes, but it’s best to freeze the soup without the noodles. Frozen pasta tends to turn mushy so when you’re ready to eat, thaw the soup and cook fresh pasta to add to the reheated broth.
