Tip and Tricks for The Best Cheesy Pizza Dip
- Use Freshly Shredded Cheese- To achieve the ultimate gooey pizza dip, I recommend shredding your own cheese. Pre packaged cheese is covered with cellulose which prevents it from melting into smooth gooey goodness.
- Keep It Warm- If you’re planning to serve the dip at a party, use a small slow cooker or a warming dish to keep it hot and melty throughout the event.
- Spice It Up- If you like spicy dishes, add some heat to the dish by adding in a few red pepper flakes.
- Add Extra Toppings- Just like a pizza, this dip can be customized with your favorite toppings. Add toppings such as ground beef, sausage, green peppers, onions, black olives, mushrooms, or jalapeños to make it your own.
How To Store Leftover Hot Pizza Dip
- Let It Cool- Allow the dip to cool to room temperature before storing. This will help prevent condensation which can make the dip watery.
- Refrigerate- Place the cheesy pizza dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator. This will help it stay fresh for about 3–4 days.
- Freezing- I do not recommend freezing this dip because cheese-based dips can become grainy after thawing.
- Reheat- For best results, preheat the oven to 350 degrees and bake the dip for about 15-20 minutes, or until it’s heated throughout.
