These Double Cheese Fry Burger Sliders are by far my favorite sliders to make. They remind me of how I used to load my cheeseburger with French fries every time I went to McDonalds and admittedly still do! A juicy burger just tastes better that way to me, so I decided to create a recipe that I could make at home and still get my “Fry Burger” fix.
Slider Ingredients
- 1 ½ pounds ground beef
- ½ yellow onion, diced
- 1-pound shoestring French fries
- 1 tablespoon Burger seasoning
- 8 slices of cheese
- 12 Savory Butter slider rolls
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Burger sauce Ingredients
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 teaspoon pickle juice
- Black pepper to taste
- ½ teaspoon dehydrated chopped onions
How To Make Double Cheese Fry Burger Sliders
Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees and cooking the shoestring French fries per the package instructions. I do recommend cooking them in an air fryer if you have one. Air frying them just adds that extra crispiness. Also, if you like special condiments on your burger then go ahead and prepare them as well.
Lastly, you will need to make the Burger Sauce. So, add all the ingredients listed in the recipe card below to a small bowl and mix until well combined. Set it aside or in the refrigerator to chill until you’re ready for it.
Add the ground beef to a large skillet over medium-high heat and season it with burger seasoning. Cook the meat until no pink is visible and then drain off any excess grease. Next add ¼ cup ketchup and combine. The ketchup will serve as a binder when placing the ground beef on the rolls.
Next cut the rolls in half horizontally and lay them face up on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Then place a single layer of cheese on the bottom portion of the rolls and then add an even layer of ground beef on top of the cheese.
Top the meat with as much burger sauce as desired then add another single layer of cheese on top.
Add any desired condiments at this point and then place a layer of French fries on top.
Lastly, place the remaining buns on top and brush the melted butter on them.
Bake the sliders at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until cheese is fully melted. Allow them to cool for a few minutes and then you are ready to enjoy!
FAQ
What cheese do you suggest for this recipe?
- I use American Kraft singles because they melt well and have a good cheese flavor.
What is burger seasoning?
- I am referring to whatever you normally like to season your hamburgers with. If you are from Alabama, then you may have heard of Southern Flavor but that is my season of choice anytime I make burgers.
What can I serve with these sliders?
- Typically, I would say more French fries but since French fries are used as a condiment for this recipe, baked beans, potato salad or a pasta salad would be my top choices.
