Ingredient List
Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts- This cut of chicken is my personal favorite, and it is perfect for this recipe because you can easily slice them to form cutlets.
Olive Oil- It has a high smoke point which makes it perfect for pan searing chicken over high heat.
Minced Garlic- This adds delightful garlic flavor to the parmesan sauce.
Butter- This adds a slight savory flavor to the parmesan garlic cream sauce
Heavy Whipping Cream- This adds the perfect amount of creamy richness to the recipe.
Parmesan Cheese- The main ingredients in forming the delightful creamy sauce
Dry Ingredients- (Onion powder, Garlic powder, Paprika, Salt & Black Pepper)- Adds the perfect amount of flavor to the chicken cutlets
How To Make Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken
You will need to start by slicing the boneless chicken breast in half horizontally to form chicken cutlets. Cutting the chicken into cutlets will ensure it cooks throughout without burning the outside. Then you will need to season both sides of the chicken with onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt and black pepper.
Next in a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil. Once the skillet is hot, place the chicken into the skillet. Allow it to sear for 6-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165. (I always like to use a meat thermometer to ensure juicy chicken) Once the chicken cutlets are fully cooked, place them on a plate and set aside.
In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Once the butter is fully melted add the minced garlic and allow it to sauté for 30 seconds or until it becomes fragrant. Then add the heavy cream and parmesan cheese. You will need to constantly stir the mixture until it comes to a simmer and all the cheese is melted.
Finish by placing the chicken cutlets back into the skillet and topping them with creamy garlic parmesan sauce which is hands down the best part of this recipe.
FAQ
Can I substitute milk for the heavy cream?
- You can substitute the heavy cream for milk HOWEVER you will need to make a roux. (2 tablespoons melted butter, 2 tablespoons of flour and 1 ½ cup of milk.) This will ensure that you have creamy sauce instead of a watery sauce.
Do you recommend any extra toppings for this recipe?
- I typically always garnish with parsley but recently I had some extra bacon I needed to use, so I cooked it, crumbled it and added it on top of the chicken. It was amazing! Bacon is one of the best things to add when you are looking for a savory flavorful topping.
How do I store leftovers?
- Place leftovers in an airtight container stored in the refrigerator and make sure to eat it within three days.

Is there bacon on top? I don’t see it mentioned in the recipe.
Its optional. I had some leftover I needed to use so I threw it on top. It paired well.
