Creamy Lasagna Tortellini

This Creamy Lasagna Tortellini features all the traditional flavors of lasagna packed into a perfect weeknight recipe. This dish can be prepared in less than 30 minutes without sparing any deliciousness, so I give it 10/10.  

 

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil 
  • ½ yellow onion, diced 
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic 
  • 1 pound ground beef 
  • 1-pound Italian sausage 
  • ½ tablespoon Italian Seasoning  
  • 1 tablespoon Onion Powder 
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic powder 
  • Salt & Pepper to taste 
  • 24-ounce Spaghetti sauce 
  • 12 ounces Tortellini cooked and drained 
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream 
  • 16 ounces cottage cheese 
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese 
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese 

How To Make Creamy Lasagna Tortellini 

 

Start by cooking the tortellini per the package instructions and add in a drop of olive oil to prevent the pasta from sticking. Then in a large skillet over medium-high heat, add some olive oil and diced onions. Allow the onions to sauté for 2-3 minutes until they start to soften up a bit. Then add minced garlic and cook it for around 30 seconds or until it becomes fragrant.  

In the same skillet add ground beef and Italian sausage. Cook the meat until no pink is visible and then drain the grease. Season the meat with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt & pepper to taste. 

Then add spaghetti sauce, heavy whipping cream, cottage cheese, parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese. Throw in the drained tortellini and stir until well combined. Finish the dish by sprinkling a bit more mozzarella and parmesan cheese on top and covering to allow the cheese to melt. Serve and enjoy this Creamy Lasagna Tortellini!

    This was a 10/10!! My husband does not typically like pasta dishes, but requested we have this one again. It was easy and so filling.
