Creamy Lasagna Tortellini

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ yellow onion diced
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1- pound Italian sausage
  • ½ tablespoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Onion Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic powder
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • 24- ounce Spaghetti sauce
  • 12 ounces Tortellini cooked and drained
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 16 ounces cottage cheese
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and onions. Allow onions to sauté for 2-3 minutes until they start to soften. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds or until fragrant.
  • Add ground beef and Italian sausage. Cook until no pink is visible within the meat and then drain the grease.
  • Season the meat with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder. Salt & pepper to taste.
  • Add spaghetti sauce, heavy whipping cream, cottage cheese, parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese. Add drained tortellini and stir until combined. Sprinkle a bit more mozzarella and parmesan cheese on top and cover to allow cheese to melt. Serve and enjoy!
