Italian Parmesan Chicken Skewers

These Italian Parmesan Chicken Skewers are the perfect weeknight meal! These skewers feature juicy air fried chicken basted with savory garlic parmesan butter. They are a family favorite at my house and sure to please everyone around the supper table!

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • Wooden skewers
  • 1 cup Italian dressing
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup salted butter 1 stick
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • Chopped parsley

  • Start by preheating your air fryer to 400 degrees and soaking wooden skewers in warm water. Next, cut chicken breast into equal, small bite sized pieces. Add chicken to a mixing bowl, add Italian dressing, season with garlic powder and onion powder (as much or as little as you like) and ½ cup parmesan cheese. Combine until every piece is nicely coated.
  • Thread pieces of chicken onto skewers. (you may need to break skewers to fit into your air fryer)
  • Spray a light coating of non-stick cooking spray onto air fryer basket tray and place skewers into basket. Cook for 12 minutes at 400 degrees.
  • While the chicken is cooking make your garlic parmesan sauce. Melt butter, add minced garlic, ½ cup parmesan cheese, a pinch of parsley, stirring to combine.
  • At the 12-minute mark, rotate the chicken skewers and allow to cook for an additional 6-8 minutes. Cooking time may vary based on size of chicken pieces, so make sure it reaches an internal temp of 165 degrees.
  • Once finished cooking, baste chicken with garlic parmesan butter and enjoy!

• If you do not have an air fryer these can be made in the oven or on the grill, as stated cooking time may vary so just be sure to cook until internal temp reaches 165 degrees.
• If you do not have chicken breast on hand, chicken tenderloins are a nice substitute.
