This Loaded Taco & Potato Skillet is the perfect meal for busy weeknights. You can throw this recipe together in less than 30 minutes and it’s sure to please the whole family. This recipe features taco style seasoned ground beef combined with crispy potatoes, topped with nacho cheese and Pico de Gallo.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound potatoes, diced
- ½ tablespoon, seasoned salt
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- ¼ cup Pico De Gallo
- ½ packet of taco seasoning
- ¼ cups nacho cheese, heated
- ½ cup taco blend cheese
How To Make Loaded Taco & Potato Skillet
Start by preheating the air fryer to 400 degrees. If you do not have an air fryer, preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Then in a large mixing bowl add the diced potatoes, olive oil, seasoned salt, and toss to combine. If you are using fresh potatoes make sure to rinse and dry the potatoes well prior to adding the seasoning. This will ensure the potatoes are super crispy.
Add the potatoes to the air fryer and cook at 400 degrees for 20 minutes until crispy, tossing potatoes around every 5 minutes. If you are using the oven, spread the potatoes out evenly on a baking sheet and cook for 25-30 minutes, stirring potatoes around every 5 minutes.
Next, in a large skillet over medium-high heat add the ground beef. Cook the meat until no pink is visible then drain the grease and add the taco seasoning. I recommend using ½ pack of taco seasoning per each pound of ground beef. Mix until the seasoning is well combined with the meat. Then sprinkle taco blend cheese on top and stir to combine.
Finish by pouring the potatoes into the skillet and combining them with the meat. Top it off with nacho cheese and Pico de Gallo. I generally serve this as a meal by itself because it is so filling. I hope y’all enjoy this Loaded Taco & Potatoe Skillet!
