Ingredients

  • 24-ounce spaghetti sauce
  • 15-ounce alfredo sauce
  • ½ yellow onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1.5 pounds ground beef
  • 12 ounces Penne pasta, cooked and drained
  • ½ block cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

How To Make Baked Ziti

In a large skillet over medium-high heat add diced onion, minced garlic and ground beef. Then cook until no pink is visible within the meat. Drain all of the grease and return the meat back to the skillet. Then, add the seasonings (onion powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper) and combine with the meat.

Then, add the jar of spaghetti sauce, the jar of alfredo sauce and the drained pasta. Stir until well combined and set aside. In a large mixing bowl, add ½ a block of cream cheese, ½ cup sour cream, 1 cup of parmesan cheese and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese. Then use a hand mixer to combine.

Next, in a 9×13 baking dish add a layer of the pasta mixture to the bottom of the dish (should be about half the amount of pasta) then add the cream cheese mixture on top and spread it out evenly. Add the remainder of pasta as the final layer. Then top with 1 cup of mozzarella and 1 cup of parmesan cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes until bubbly and the cheese is melted. Allow the baked ziti to rest for 10 minutes before serving! This Million Dollar Baked Ziti pairs perfectly with a side salad and garlic bread. Enjoy!
