Why you will love this easy pizza pasta recipe

  • Highly customizable- This recipe can be using all of your favorite pizza toppings which makes it a great option that can be altered to please anyones taste.
  • Quick & easy- This pizza pasta casserole can be made in less than 30 minutes which is great for those busy weeknights.
  • Comfort food- This recipe is the ultimate comfort food! It combines all the delicious flavors of pizza into one simple pasta dish! It just doesn’t get any better than that!

How to make Pizza Pasta

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Cook pasta per the package directions. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef, diced onions and mushrooms. Cook until the meat is no longer pink, and the onions and mushrooms are soft. Add minced garlic and combine with meat, cook for 30-45 seconds until fragrant and then drain off excess grease. Season meat with Italian seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and starting to turn golden brown. Serve & enjoy!

Variations

  • Add your favorite toppings- Add green peppers, black olives, ground sausage, turkey sausage, red onions or any other toppings you would normally order on your pizza.
  • Spice it up- Top with crushed red pepper to heat things up.
  • Use different cheeses- Mix in a little bit of parmesan cheese for extra flavor.
  • Use different sauces- If you don’t have a jar of pizza sauce on hand, you may use marinara sauce for a more robust flavor or your favorite spaghetti sauce.

Storage

  • This cheesy pasta dish is still just as awesome the next day!
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container and eat within 2-3 days.
  • If you do have leftovers you may notice the dish isn’t as “saucy” the next day and that is just because it soaks into the pasta.

Can I make this recipe ahead of time?

  • For best results, I would not recommend making this to far in advance. It does not freeze well as the noodles will become mushy.
  • The longer is sits the more sauce will become absorbed into the pasta which doesn’t alter the taste but can make the dish seem dry.

Alot!! We fixed it in a half aluminum pan from Sam’s Club. It was over the top and I had to press it down and it kinda crowned in the middle.
