FAQ

Can I use all-purpose flour as a substitute for self-rising flour?

  • Yes, if you do not use self-rising flour the dough will not rise during the baking process. HOWEVER, you can turn all-purpose flour into self-rising flour. To do so you will need to add 1 ½ teaspoons of baking powder and ¼ teaspoon of table salt and whisk it together. This measurement should be used for every 1 cup of all-purpose flour.

How should I store leftover cobbler?

  • Leftover cobbler should be stored in an airtight container and placed in the refrigerator. If you don’t have an airtight container, you can wrap the baking pan with plastic wrap or aluminum foil. All leftovers should be eaten in 2-3 days.

Can I use fruit filling in place of fresh fruit?

  • Yes. I highly recommend using fresh ingredients for best results but if you choose to use blueberry filling use a 21 ounce can as a substitute.

How is this cobbler best served?

  • It is best served while it is warm and with a big scoop of ice cream.
